Wow, the Symposium was fantastic! Lots of great science, incredibly delicious (and abundant) food, and great energy. Everyone really earned their socks (see image). Way to go, CCCB!
The Symposium hosted by CCCB is almost here! We have a great lineup of speakers and excellent food and entertainment. Should be a lot of fun!
Here’s an announcement for the symposium our department will be hosting next year. We’re pretty excited about this!
Saili is off to try her hand at teaching. We will miss her calm and her constant willingness to pitch in as a true team player. We wish her the best as she takes this ambitious step to focus on teaching. Good luck Saili!
Jared is back for the summer after a great year in Germany. Nice to have him back!
We welcome two summer students to the Rankin lab this year. Katie McDonald is a student at the Oklahoma School for Science and Math. She will be characterizing cohesion phenotypes. Kimberlea Harlow is participating in the Fleming Scholars program. She will be working on chromosome condensation. We’re glad they’re both here. It should be a great summer!
Our department, the Program in Cell Cycle and Cancer Biology, is hosting a Symposium on Genome Instability in April 2015. Stay tuned for more information. It should be great!
