She couldn’t stay away
Annelise is back! One of our summer students from last year is back to work in the lab for a few months. Annelise will be applying her ample cloning prowess, and developing a new project looking at the connection between DNA replication and cohesin regulation. Welcome back Annelise!
New paper
Good news! Our work done in collaboration with the Pezza lab here at OMRF and Philip Jordan at Johns Hopkins has been accepted for publication. In this work we demonstrate the striking localization of the cohesin regulator Sororin on synapsed meiotic chromosomes. I’ll post some images here soon.
Kasia has moved on
Lots has happened and we’re not up to date! Kasia finished her work in the lab and returned to Poland to defend her Masters thesis this past summer. Good news for us, though. She is matriculated in the GPiBS graduate program at OUHSC and will stay in Oklahoma City. Congratulations to Kasia and a heartfelt thanks for all her work for the Rankin lab. Good luck in graduate school Kasia!
