Susannah grew up in the Boston area and received her bachelor’s degree at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. After working as a technician for several years, she returned to Boston where she received her PhD from Tufts University School of Medicine, studying the interactions between bacterial pathogens and host cells. Following post-doctoral work at Harvard Medical School, where she studied cell cycle control in vertebrate systems, she joined the faculty at OMRF in 2006.
