Saili is off to try her hand at teaching. We will miss her calm and her constant willingness to pitch in as a true team player. We wish her the best as she takes this ambitious step to focus on teaching. Good luck Saili!

Jared is back for the summer after a great year in Germany. Nice to have him back!
It’s summer!
We welcome two summer students to the Rankin lab this year. Katie McDonald is a student at the Oklahoma School for Science and Math. She will be characterizing cohesion phenotypes. Kimberlea Harlow is participating in the Fleming Scholars program. She will be working on chromosome condensation. We’re glad they’re both here. It should be a great summer!
We’re hosting a meeting!
Our department, the Program in Cell Cycle and Cancer Biology, is hosting a Symposium on Genome Instability in April 2015. Stay tuned for more information. It should be great!

The CCCB department has had another successful retreat at Keystone Lake. Once again, the crowd was friendly, the food was excellent (and abundant!) and the science was top notch. Thanks all for participating! Thanks to Aaron Straight for being a good sport and keeping us honest.
